Does the president actually read his speeches? He actually said he would pay for the $900 billion (with a "B") his plan will cost over the next ten years by eliminating all of the fraud and waste in the Medicare/Medicaid program! Does he realize the Medicare/Medicade program is the only government run healthcare system in the United States???

He wants us to feel good about a new government health care program that will be paid for by eliminating the fraud and waste in the current government health care program??? Really?

He wants me to believe that employers who are currently providing health care plans at a cost higher than 8% of their payroll will not drop the plans when they realize they only have to pay an 8% fine and let the government plan take over? Really?

It is obvious to me that his proposal is just another ponzi scheme like Social Security. He wants me to believe that the costs will be paid for by premiums from those using it. Yet then again he said the total cost would be paid for by eliminating the fraud and waste from Medicare... which is it Mr. President???

I am convinced, it is neither! We will pay for the cost of these 35-40 million "Americans" with increased taxes. There will be no reserve fund - WE THE PEOPLE will pay the total cost in addition to what we are paying for our own health care! As we age and our life span increases, we will place more demand on the system than what is possible to pay for with taxes and the house of cards will eventually fall... How is this any different than what Bernie Madoff was just sentenced to 150 years for???

I am not willing to strap my children and grandchildren with the future financial burden that my health care now will create if the government is my provider.

I am just an average "Joe", but it does not take a brain surgeon (no pun intended) to see what needs to be done:

1. Pass tort reform now and allow judges to impose heavy penalties when frivolous junk science law suits are brought against docotors.

2. Make it illegal to deny health care insurance because of prior health conditions.

3. Demand that barriors are removed that will allow private insurance providers to compete across state lines like auto insurance companies.

4. Make it illegal for health care providers to limit care or reduce care when you get sick.

5. Deny free or government-paid-for health care to illegal immigrants. Period.

6. If someone chooses to not purchase health care because they think they will not need it, even though they could afford it, they must pay their way if treated in an emergency room, just like they would if they scheduled an outpatient visit to a doctor in a non-emergency situation.

Final thought (for now): Do we really trust a President and administration that starts a 6:00 speech fifteen minutes late to be able to handle something as complex as health care services??? Really?

God help us. Please!

Why we observe Memorial Day...

Tonight, while talking to my children about this sacred day, and mentioning that this day is set aside to honor those who have died in defense of our country, one of them said, "I thought Veterans Day was for honoring our veterans." While this is a true statement, there is a common misunderstanding about the two holidays and the purpose of each.

Armistice Day (later known as Veterans Day), was originally designated in 1919 by President Woodrow Wilson to remind Americans of the tragedy of war and to commemorate the ending of World War I in the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918.

Shortly after, The Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier was established in Arlington National Cemetery.

In 1938, Congress established the day as a national holiday. One year later, World War II broke out. Over 400,000 American troops died in that terrible war putting an end to the idea that WWI was "The war to end all wars!"

During the Korean War (1950-1953), 36,000 more Americans died and Congress considered changing the holiday to commemorate veterans of all wars, not just those who served in WWI. In 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed the bill proclaiming the holiday a commemoration of all wars and changing its name to Veteran's Day.

While Veterans Day is extremely important, as a day we honor all veterans, Memorial Day (originally known as Decoration Day) is specifically designated as a day we reverently honor those who gave the supreme sacrifice by dying in defense of this nation (some of the same veterans we honor on Veteran's Day).

Decoration Day owes its beginning to the following General Order issued shortly after the end of the War Between The States also known as the Civil War:

HEADQUARTERS GRAND ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC
General Orders No.11, WASHINGTON, D.C., May 5, 1868

i. The 30th day of May, 1868, is designated for the purpose of strewing with flowers or otherwise decorating the graves of comrades who died in defense of their country during the late rebellion, and whose bodies now lie in almost every city, village, and hamlet church-yard in the land. In this observance no form of ceremony is prescribed, but posts and comrades will in their own way arrange such fitting services and testimonials of respect as circumstances may permit.

We are organized, comrades, as our regulations tell us, for the purpose among other things, "of preserving and strengthening those kind and fraternal feelings which have bound together the soldiers, sailors, and marines who united to suppress the late rebellion." What can aid more to assure this result than cherishing tenderly the memory of our heroic dead, who made their breasts a barricade between our country and its foes? Their soldier lives were the reveille of freedom to a race in chains, and their deaths the tattoo of rebellious tyranny in arms. We should guard their graves with sacred vigilance. All that the consecrated wealth and taste of the nation can add to their adornment and security is but a fitting tribute to the memory of her slain defenders. Let no wanton foot tread rudely on such hallowed grounds. Let pleasant paths invite the coming and going of reverent visitors and fond mourners. Let no vandalism of avarice or neglect, no ravages of time testify to the present or to the coming generations that we have forgotten as a people the cost of a free and undivided republic.

If other eyes grow dull, other hands slack, and other hearts cold in the solemn trust, ours shall keep it well as long as the light and warmth of life remain to us.

Let us, then, at the time appointed gather around their sacred remains and garland the passionless mounds above them with the choicest flowers of spring-time; let us raise above them the dear old flag they saved from his honor; let us in this solemn presence renew our pledges to aid and assist those whom they have left among us a sacred charge upon a nation's gratitude, the soldier's and sailor's widow and orphan.

ii. It is the purpose of the Commander-in-Chief to inaugurate this observance with the hope that it will be kept up from year to year, while a survivor of the war remains to honor the memory of his departed comrades. He earnestly desires the public press to lend its friendly aid in bringing to the notice of comrades in all parts of the country in time for simultaneous compliance therewith.

iii. Department commanders will use efforts to make this order effective.

In the beginning, May 30th, Decoration day, was only observed by the northern states. The southern states refused to acknowledge the day and honored their dead on another day until after World War I when the holiday was officially changed to honor the dead, of not just the Civil War, but those who died defending our nation in any war, and the name was changed to Memorial Day.

There are many who feel that official observance of Memorial day should be returned to May 30th. I am one of those who feel this way. I feel that the holiday has lost most of its intended reverence and quiet purpose in order to establish another three day holiday weekend.

While most people have forgotten the purpose, or have never learned it in the first place, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for an organization that still strives to develop patriotism in the youth of our great nation.

On Thursday, I attended the 41st Memorial Tribute held at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. It was sponsored by the Thunderbird District of the Cascade Pacific Council of the Boy Scouts of America. A short memorial service was held in which the Marines and hundreds of Scouts presented The Colors of our nation before the 2000+ Scouts and Scouters in attendance.

A short speech was given by Colonel Leah Sundquist, who is not only an active veteran but a Gold Award recipient with 41 years tenure in the Girl Scout organization. She spoke of leadership and the oath that all Scouts take to honor God, Country, and other fellow human beings. As an Eagle Scout of the Class of 1973, and a current Scouter with 45 years tenure, I too have taken this sacred oath many times and live by it to this day.

As the American Legion, City of Roses Musicians Post #185, (whom my 75-year old father and Veteran of the Korean War is a member of), played the National Anthem, tears streamed down my cheeks as I felt the spirits of the 131,000 veterans that are buried or entombed at the sacred and hallowed cemetery.

I completely lost it when the bagpipes played as the giant flag that stands watch over the graves was lowered to half-staff and Taps was played while the Marines fired a 21-gun salute. Those sounds brought back a rush of memories from the services where we buried my grandfather, my great uncle, my father-in-law, and just recently my uncle in this very cemetery, all veterans representing service in all wars from World War I through Viet Nam.

Fortunately, none of them had to make the supreme sacrifice in the service of their country, but I know that they had many friends and comrades that did. And it is with honor and reverence that I will observe those that did this Memorial Day.

After the memorial tribute, all of the Scouts respectfully placed flags at all of the 131,000 graves. Each flag was placed while the Scout quietly read aloud the name of the veteran and then offered a hand salute in respect.

My father and I visited the niche that holds the remains of my Uncle Ken, who served during the Korean War like my father.

Later, I was fortunate enough to be present when an unknown Eagle Scout placed a flag at the grave of my father-in-law, Lt. Colonel Donald F. Rudolph, US Air Force, who served during World War II, and during the Korean and Viet Nam Wars.

Please take the time to think about the sacrifices these men and women made to defend our sacred Constitution from all threats foreign and domestic so that we may live in a free nation. Please think about the lonely battlefields that flowed red with the blood of our brothers and sisters so that we can enjoy this holiday in safety and peace.

God bless our veterans and God bless America... Long my she live.

Another Navy Seal Hero!

Navy Petty Officer Mike Monsoor

Mike Monsoor, was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor
posthumously for jumping on a grenade in Iraq, giving his life to save his fellow Seals.

During Mike Monsoor's funeral in San Diego, as his coffin was being moved from the hearse to the grave site at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery, SEAL's were lined up on both sides of the pallbearers route forming a column of two's, with the coffin moving up the center. As Mike's coffin passed, each SEAL, having removed his gold Trident from his uniform, slapped it down embedding the Trident in the wooden coffin.

The slaps were audible from across the cemetery; by the time the coffin arrived grave side, it looked as though it had a gold inlay from all the Tridents pinned to it.

This was a fitting send-off for a warrior hero.

This should be front-page news instead of the crap we see every day.

All three go with a White House official to examine the fence.

The Minnesota contractor takes out a tape measure and does some measuring, then works some figures with a pencil. "Well," he says, "I figure the job will run about $900: $400 for materials, $400 for my crew and $100 profit for me."

Luke AFB is west of Phoenix and is rapidly being surrounded by civilization that complains about the noise from the base and its planes, forgetting that it was there long before they were. A certain lieutenant colonel at Luke AFB deserves a big pat on the back. Apparently, an individual who lives somewhere near Luke AFB wrote the local paper complaining about a group of F-16s that disturbed his/her day at the mall.

When that individual read the response from a Luke AFB officer, it must Have stung quite a bit.

The complaint: 'Question of the day for Luke Air Force Base:

Whom do we thank for the morning air show? Last Wednesday, at precisely 9:11 A.M, a tight formation of four F-16 jets made a low pass over Arrowhead Mall, continuing west over Bell Road at approximately 500 feet. Imagine our good fortune! Do the Tom Cruise-wannabes feel we need this wake-up call, or were they trying to impress the cashiers at Mervyns early bird special?

Any response would be appreciated.

Regarding 'A wake-up call from Luke's jets' On June 15, at precisely 9:12 a.m., a perfectly timed four- ship fly by of F-16s from the 63rd Fighter Squadron at Luke Air Force Base flew over the grave of Capt. Jeremy Fresques. Capt Fresques was an Air Force officer who was previously stationed at Luke Air Force Base and was killed in Iraq on May 30, Memorial Day.

At 9 a. m. on June 15, his family and friends gathered at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City to mourn the loss of a husband, son and friend. Based on the letter writer's recount of the fly by, and because of the jet noise, I'm sure you didn't hear the 21-gun salute, the playing of taps, or my words to the widow and parents of Capt. Fresques as I gave them their son's flag on behalf of the President of the United States and all those veterans and servicemen and women who understand the sacrifices they have endured..

A four-ship fly by is a display of respect the Air Force gives to those who give their lives in defense of freedom. We are professional aviators and take our jobs seriously, and on June 15 what the letter writer witnessed was four officers lining up to pay their ultimate respects.

The letter writer asks, 'Whom do we thank for the morning air show? The 56th Fighter Wing will make the call for you, and forward your thanks to the widow and parents of Capt Fresques, and thank them for you, for it was in their honor that my pilots flew the most honorable formation of their lives.

Only 2 defining forces have ever offered to die for you....Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Just how much is $4.2 trillion?

As I was listening to The Glenn Beck Show tonight (best yet), and I heard, once again, the bailout and the deficit numbers tossed around like chump change (a trillion here and a trillion there), I decided to put it into a perspective that everyone (even those who voted for B. Hussein Obama) can understand:

I happen to know that a stack of crisp $1000 bills one foot high is equal to $171,420.00. That means that a stack of crisp, new $1000 bills totaling $1 million dollars would be equal to 70 inches or 5.83 feet in height.

Now, if you take the same denomination of bills and stack them up until you have $1 billion, the stack will be 70,000 inches or 5833 feet high! That is 1.10 miles high!

Now, hold on to your chair… If you stack the same denomination of bills until you reach a total of $1 trillion, the stack will be 1104.8 miles high! Last time I checked, the International Space Station orbits about 150 miles above the Earth!

They say our national deficit is $4.2 trillion (Some say it is as high as $15 trillion - though I doubt if anyone in Washington D.C. can even count that high, and it is obvious that nobody there can even comprehend a number that large)!

But for the sake of illustration, let's say it is $4.2 trillion-

You can stack $1000 bills, back to back, (not side by side or end to end but, on edge - back to back), from the Left Coast to the East Coast, and then back again, and you still will not have enough to cover the debt!

Let me put it in terms that us guys can understand:

If you are independently wealthy and you send your wife on a shopping spree allowing her to spend $1 million at $1000 per day, she will be back in just under three years (2.73 years) asking for more money.

If you send her out with $1 billion dollars, she will not be back asking for more for 2739 years!

Now, if you send her out with $1 trillion, she will not be back for 2,739,726 years!

HOLY CRAP! Wake up America! Out national deficit of $4.2 trillion is equal to $1000 a day for over 11.5 million years!

As I type these numbers, I am feeling physically ill thinking about what our government is doing to my great-great-great-great-great-great… great-grandchildren!

A message to the media: Stop throwing these figures around like they are nothing! You are doing us no service by doing so! People need to know just what it is we are talking about here!

I have been following this proposed legislation since it began and it scares the hell out of me! Maybe it is B. Hussein Obama's statement that he wants to create a team of civilian mercenaries that are better trained, better funded, and better equipped than the military... why would he want to do that? Do you think he is afraid of an armed populace? Does this sound like any other tyrannical leader in the last 70 years... that rose to power in a very similar manner as BHO? As I recall they all wore brown shirts! You better start thinking about the implications of this legislation if it passes (and I have no reason to believe it will not). Many say it cannot happen here... That is what they said in Australia and Great Britain not so long ago... It is time we wake up before it is too late.

You have to hand it to liberals, they never seem to give up. When it comes to the United States Constitution, they generally just ignore it – particularly the Tenth Amendment (you know, that pesky one that was intended to limit the power of the federal government). But the Second Amendment causes liberals fits, because a substantial number of Americans are actually aware of it. (That may be due more to Charlton Heston having been President of the NRA than to adequate teaching of the Constitution by members of the NEA, but we’ll take what we can get.) Try as they might, liberals just can’t seem to pass federal legislation outlawing all guns nationwide. The nation’s Founding Fathers were pretty clear in their wording:

“Amendment II

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

The Second Amendment does not refer to the “right of the government” to keep and bear arms, it refers to the “right of the people.” The first ten amendments to the Constitution (the “Bill of Rights”) were demanded by the individual States before they would ratify the Constitution. Their purpose with the Amendments was to limit the power of the federal government even more than was intended by the main body of the Constitution. The First Amendment (freedom of speech, religion, and assembly) and the Second Amendment appeared first because they were considered the most important. Looking back, those gentlemen in their powdered wigs with their quill pens were pretty prescient. (We can’t blame them for not being a bit tougher with the wording of the Tenth Amendment. After all, how could Thomas Jefferson have anticipated that a bloated dunderhead named Al Gore would show up some 230 years later demanding that carbon dioxide be regulated by the government as a dangerous pollutant? King George may have been unwise to place a heavy tax on tea to pay debts from the Seven Years War, but even he never considered taxing air.)

So the Second Amendment lives on, despite attempts by liberals to render it meaningless. They’ve done a pretty good job of making it less powerful - making citizens less secure in the process - but it’s still hanging in there. The year 2009 may, however, be the year we see that Amendment become totally irrelevant.

In case you haven’t noticed, a new President will be sworn in on January 20. If he has his way (and he likely will), his Attorney General will be Eric Holder. Gun-owners across the nation may want to pay attention to the records of Obama and Holder with regard to guns and the Constitution.

Eric Holder was Bill Clinton’s Deputy Attorney General. Holder was instrumental in persuading Bill Clinton to pardon members of the Puerto Rican terrorist group FALN (to encourage Puerto Rican votes for Hillary Clinton’s Senate run in New York). In exchange for large donations by Denise Rich to the Clinton Presidential Library fund and Clinton’s legal defense fund, Holden worked for the pardon of her husband, Marc Rich. Rich had renounced his U.S. citizenship and fled to Switzerland to avoid prosecution for wire fraud, racketeering, tax fraud, and tax evasion. Holder’s role in securing the Clinton pardons was called “unconscionable” by a Congressional committee, partly because he kept the deliberations hidden until the last minute in order to avoid certain protests from U.S. district attorneys.

Holder also worked to grant Clinton pardons for Susan Lisa Rosenberg and Linda Evans; Rosenberg and Evans were Weather Underground associates of William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn (best buddies of the Obamas, and past baby-sitters for their two children) who had been imprisoned for bombing government facilities. As with other pardons, Holder kept prosecutors from learning about the Rosenberg and Evans pardons to prevent expected objections. Bernadine Dohrn served one year in prison for refusing to testify against Rosenberg, who was the getaway driver in a Weather Underground robbery in which one Brinks armored car driver and two police officers were killed; Rosenberg was set free by Clinton on his last day in office.

Holder is antagonistic toward the Second Amendment right to bear arms, and wrote a brief in support of the Washington, D.C. ban on all hand-guns, even for self-defense in the home. (That law was later found unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, in District of Columbia v. Heller.) Holder’s brief essentially argued that Americans have no right to keep guns in their homes for self-defense. He supports federal licensing of all handguns, three-day waiting periods, one gun per month purchase limits, national gun registration, and strict limits on gun shows that would effectively shut them down. And that’s just what he’s admitting to before he takes office.

Holder may not like private citizens owning weapons, but he is happy to see them in the hands of government thugs. Holder was second-in-command to Attorney General Janet Reno when he made the decision to send in INS officers with automatic weapons to kidnap Elian Gonzalez and return the terrified child to Cuba.

In an interesting side note, Holder neglected to mention ties to Rod Blagojevich in the 47-page questionnaire he was required to submit to the Senate Judiciary Committee as nominee for Attorney General. Holder signed the document five days after Blagojevich’s arrest. In 2004, Blagojevich had named Holder “special investigator” for the Illinois Gaming Board, which controls Illinois casino licenses. Blagojevich was under scrutiny for his possible involvement in attempts to grant a casino license to the city of Rosemont (whose mayor was alleged to have mob ties). There were suspicions that Blagojevich would use Holder to “steer” any investigations away from him (and Obama’s main money man, Tony Rezko), while still allowing a casino in Rosemont. Rezko was also involved in the casino plans; he had an option to lease a hotel next to the casino site (which he would likely exercise only if the casino deal went through). A Rezko business partner, Christopher G. Kelly, was also involved in casino site negotiations. Kelly is also a close friend and fundraiser of Blagojevich. There is speculation that Holder intentionally neglected to list his association with Blagojevich on his Senate Judiciary Committee questionnaire to keep association from harming his confirmation as Attorney General. (Perhaps sensing that “the fix was in,” the Gaming Board refused to hire Holder in 2004. A casino has yet to be approved for Rosemont, Illinois.)

You are unlikely to know any of this about Eric Holder if you rely on the mainstream media, which has pretty much ignored reporting anything about him that relates to issues and instead concentrates on “fluff.” “Holder will be the first African-American Attorney General,” gushed the media - after spending the entire year arguing that the election of Obama would effectively end race as an issue. I guess it’s still an issue to liberals.

Black or white or red or green, Eric Holder is no friend of gun owners. (But Fidel Castro likely holds him in high regard.) Don’t look to Holder to protect your Second Amendment rights. The same can be said of his boss, Obama.

In September of 1996, when he was first running for the Illinois State Senate, Obama completed a candidate questionnaire. In the document, Obama stated that he opposed the manufacture, sale, and possession of handguns, and supported banning assault weapons.

In the Illinois Senate, Obama voted against a bill that specifically allowed homeowners the right to use a gun in self-defense during a home invasion. The Illinois Governor vetoed the bill; Obama voted to uphold the veto. (During his Illinois State Senate career, Obama voted four times against legislation that would allow a homeowner the right to use a firearm in defense of his home and family.)

In 1999, Obama proposed increasing Illinois firearm and ammunition excise taxes by 500 percent. (A $55 tax on a $500 rifle would increase to $330.) The tax would thus change from a fee to fund wildlife preservation programs into a gun-punishing penalty.

Obama voted for a bill that would ban most hunting rifles, shotguns, and target rifles; the bill would also authorize the Illinois State Police to raid homes and forcibly confiscate banned guns. Obama also voted for a bill that would shut down Illinois firearm manufacturing businesses (Springfield Armory, Armalite, Rock River Arms, and Les Baer). Obama voted for a bill prohibiting Illinois citizens from purchasing more than one gun per month.

To avoid criticism of his anti-gun agenda, Obama enlisted an organization known as the “American Hunters and Shooters Association” (AHSA) to distribute literature stating that he is “pro-Second Amendment.” The AHSA does support hunting, but it also supports strict gun controls on non-hunters. (The AHSA is alleged to be a “sham” organization set up solely to endorse leftists who need political cover for their anti-gun leanings.)

In 2003, Obama voted for a bill that classified most single-shot and double-barreled shotguns as “semi-automatic assault weapons” and bans them, along with hundreds of models of rifles and handguns. (Had the bill had passed, Illinois residents would have had 90 days to turn in their guns or face felony charges.)

While serving as director of the Joyce Foundation board, Obama gives millions of dollars to gun control organizations like the “Council Against Handguns” and the “Violence Policy Center.” (Between 1994 and 2001, the Joyce Foundation gave $18.6 million to about 80 anti-gun and anti-Second Amendment projects, including $1.5 million to the Violence Policy Center.)

In 2004, Obama stated that he was "…consistently on record and will continue to be on record as opposing concealed carry," and would back "federal legislation that would ban citizens from carrying weapons, except for law enforcement."

In March of 2004, Obama voted to allow prosecution of citizens who use guns for self-defense in their own homes.

Obama proposed legislation prohibiting gun stores from operating within five miles of a school or a park. Inasmuch as most communities have schools and parks scattered widely throughout their areas, the legislation would effectively ban gun stores. (Try finding a community that doesn’t have a school or park within five miles of any business.)

During the Presidential campaign, in April of 2008, Obama made his now infamous remark that residents of small-town America, because of lost jobs, “…get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or (become) anti-immigrant.” His comment drew severe criticism from gun-owners and church-goers.

Obama’s questionnaires for potential members of his staff and cabinet included unprecedented questions about gun ownership, prompting criticism from the National Rifle Association. Obama’s questions included, “Do you or any members of your immediate family own a gun? If so, provide complete ownership and registration information. Has the registration ever lapsed? Please also describe how and by whom it is used and whether it has been the cause of any personal injuries or property damage.”

By now you get the idea that neither Obama nor his Attorney General Holder will care one whit about the rights of gun owners. And gun owners shouldn’t expect much help from Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi or Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, either. (They don’t need guns, of course, because they have taxpayer-provided security.)

Still, there is that Second Amendment protecting the rights of gun owners. As mentioned above, the Supreme Court wisely labeled the Washington, D.C. ban on guns in the home unconstitutional. Creative lawmakers in D.C. are, however, busy at work crafting replacement legislation. It won’t ban guns in the home, but it will require that they be kept stored unassembled. (Home invaders in the nation’s capital are apparently expected to be patient enough to allow their victims time to assemble and load their guns before attempting to rob them.)

“We’re only trying to protect people from themselves,” say the gun control advocates, who completely ignore the statistics about the number of lives saved by armed citizens. (Dr. Susan Gratia’s testimony before Congress is particularly powerful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqgZzhI2Sfc) Yes, one can find cases of people accidentally killed by the improper use of firearms. But there is no disputing that you’re less likely to be the victim of a crime if the criminal knows you might have a gun in your home. Being prevented from protecting your property is tantamount to hanging a neon sign in your living room window that flashes, “Burglars welcome!” (It is worth remembering that Japan briefly considered an invasion of the United States during World War II but then decided against it… because they realized Americans citizens were too well-armed to allow them success.)

Astute liberals, continually looking for a way to thwart the Second Amendment, noticed that the Amendment only refers to a right to keep and bear arms. “Hey, check this out! It says nothing about ammunition!” It may have taken them over 230 years to find the loophole, but they found it. Suddenly, eighteen states are working on “ammunition accountability legislation.” Obama’s buddies are trying to cover all the bases. If they can’t get the Supreme Court to eliminate the Second Amendment, that’s no problem. “Go ahead and keep a few of your guns… but just try to get some ammunition!”

The pending legislation would require all ammunition manufacturers to maintain a database of all ammunition sold. Ammunition must be encoded. The database will keep track of who bought what ammunition and when they bought it. All ammunition sold after June 30, 2009 must be encoded.

Any ammunition purchased before the end of June (including hand-loaded ammunition) must be destroyed by July 1, 2011. Use it or lose it. (Or, in the case of criminals, buy a lot of ammunition before the deadline, and just keep it hidden until needed.) There will be a tax (possibly .05 cents) on every round of ammo. In addition to the tax, the actual cost of the ammunition will go up to cover additional manufacturer and gun shop owner expenses. Needless to say, if such legislation passes in several states, there will be a concerted effort to make the law mandatory nationwide, just for the sake of consistency. The tax will be increased as often as the government can get away with it. And if someone steals your ammunition and it is used in a crime, the ammunition database will point the police in your direction. That, of course, is a good incentive to keep your guns and ammunition under lock and key to inhibit their theft. But, in turn, that makes your guns and ammunition more difficult to access in the event of a home invasion.

Over a year ago, Australia forced gun owners to surrender their personal firearms. Over 640,000 guns were collected and destroyed by the government, at a cost of more than $500 million dollars. The results shocked the lawmakers, but probably did not surprise many of the former gun-owners:

Nationwide in Australia, homicides are up 3.2 percent, assaults are up 8.6 percent, and armed robberies are up an astounding 44 percent. In Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are up 300 percent. Law-abiding citizens turned in their guns, but the criminals certainly kept theirs. For some reason this surprised the lawmakers.

If more gun control laws and ammunition bureaucracies don’t give the liberals what they want, they have one more trick up their sleeve. They will simply argue that the Second Amendment contains a spelling error, and Americans actually only have a right to bare arms.

Brady Gun-Ban Strategy Outlined

The powerful gun-ban lobby has developed its own language to color and disguise its true agenda -- the disarming of law-abiding Americans in every way possible, and the end of effective self defense.

Their latest set of plans -- used as a fund raiser (outlined below) -- is filled with nice sounding terms that put a deceptive spin on their goals. Respect for the Bill of Rights is nowhere to be found, only clever end runs and literal destruction of rights Americans have always had.

Starkly missing from these plans is any direct attack on criminals -- the whole game plan is aimed at firearms the public holds. It is a product of abject gun fear -- hoplophobia -- that afflicts the people behind the plan. They deny they're hoplophobic, but just look at their plans, directed solely at restricting and eliminating guns -- instead of the crime caused by criminals they nominally complain about. I noticed that all mentions of accident prevention, a former holy grail for the group, are gone.

The hypocrisy is unequivocal and self evident. Sarah claims, "We need to get these 'killing machines' off our streets." Well, go ahead. Any person, on any street, operating any "killing machine" belongs in prison immediately under existing law, right? Everyone, even the Bradys, know this. It doesn't matter if your gun is black, or too short, or holds the right amount of ammo.

The problem isn't the "machines," it's the lack of law enforcement -- in the bad parts of town and among the gangs where most of the problems occur (see maps: http://www.gunlaws.com/GunshotDemographics.htm). They will not admit this, and they do not address this.

Instead, they act out on their phobia and attack you and me. The real problem of crime and violence is just an excuse for them to work on disarming people who didn't do anything.

The Federal Bureaucracy of Investigation, along with the Bureaucracy of Alcohol and Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives are in complete sympathy with the plan. The Brady plan will get them more staff, more office space, more of our money and more power, the acknowledged holy grail of bureaucrats.

Dismantle The Heller Case

The Heller decision was a double-edged sword, everyone recognized that. Now it's time for the Bradys to use Heller to attack the Second Amendment:

"Now that the U.S. Supreme Court has held that the Federal government cannot ban all guns, but that the government can place reasonable restrictions on gun ownership -- a position Obama shares -- the days of gun control being too controversial an issue for candidates to run on are over," says Ms. Brady.

"Scare tactics about gun bans aren't going to work anymore now that the NRA's slippery-slope argument about gun confiscation has been dismantled by the Supreme Court."

In a little noticed speech at the New York Bar Association in December, which I was fortunate to attend, Brady president Paul Helmke said of the Heller case, "The Supreme Court got it wrong." It's obvious the anti-rights people feel that way, and this implies they will seek to overturn the decision if they can seat a majority of their ideologues on, or bring the right case to, the High Court. Obama's statements about Supreme Court nominees do not bode well in that regard.

[Obama has said: "We need somebody who's got the heart, the empathy, to recognize what it's like to be a young teenage mom. The empathy to understand what it's like to be poor, or African-American, or gay, or disabled, or old. And that's the criteria by which I'm going to be selecting my judges." And: "If we can find people who have life experience and they understand what it means to be on the outside, what it means to have the system not work for them, that's the kind of person I want on the Supreme Court." There is no mention of rule of law, original intent, rules of interpretation, historical record or precedent.]

Helmke went on to say that the dissent and the list of restrictions will be the crucial parts of the decision (for him at least). "This is going to be good for my side," because, "the slippery slope is gone." In other words, with the High Court ruling out the total bans the Bradys have been fighting to get, they believe that all sorts of lesser bans cannot be argued against. "They (the High Court) took confiscations off the table," he said. "Any gun, anytime, anywhere is off the table." Although the Bradys desperately wanted and vigorously pursued total bans, they're now trying to turn lemons into lemonade.

Regarding the end to total bans, and the individual rights v. collectivism subterfuge that's now dead, "That was the hardest thing for me to argue," Helmke said, "taking the collective-militia-rights vs. individual rights, and the D.C. total ban off the table is going to help us politically. We de-wedgified the issue." In an eye-popping statement, Helmke said, "I don't consider the Brady Center anti gun."

He went on to try to apply the Heller case to one of his most detested firearms, ".50 caliber sniper rifles are not that common," so they may be subject to control under the "dangerous and unusual" provision in the Heller opinion.

He's referring to where the Court said: "We also recognize another important limitation on the right to keep and carry arms ... fairly supported by the historical tradition of prohibiting the carrying of 'dangerous and unusual weapons.'"

But they also said: "...we have explained, that the sorts of weapons protected were those 'in common use at the time.'" (Like .50 cals many people own and enjoy?) And quoting historical material the Court noted: "... a militia would be useless unless the citizens were enabled to exercise themselves in the use of warlike weapons." Be very cautious, Helmke's statements cannot be left standing unchallenged.

The six panelists at that presentation generally agreed that the question going forward is, What's the test for reasonable restrictions?

Although most ardent gun-rights proponents' knee jerk response might be "no infringement of any kind at any time," it rapidly becomes obvious that, at the very least, disarming violent felons -- or anyone convicted and in prison -- does not amount to infringement. Some sort of limits on the very young, mental incompetents and similar restraints are permissible boundaries around the right to keep and bear arms. But anything that disarms the general public, even slightly or incrementally, is cause for alarm. Would disarming politicians be acceptable?

The Heller case -- where there were not five votes to apply strict scrutiny to 2A (the highest judicial test for robust protections) -- toyed with guidelines but set no iron-clad rules. On the low end however, it flatly rejected Breyer's invented so-called interest-balancing test, which would have meant virtually no limits to what the Bradys could shoot for.

On the pro-rights side, it's critical to hammer these bedrock portions of the decision in your writing, debates and fight for the RKBA:

"The Second Amendment extends, prima facie, to all instruments that constitute bearable arms, even those that were not in existence at the time of the founding."

"Putting all of these textual elements together, we find that they guarantee the individual right to possess and carry weapons in case of confrontation."

"The way tyrants had eliminated a militia consisting of all the able-bodied men was not by banning the militia but simply by taking away the people's arms, enabling a select militia or standing army to suppress political opponents... because Congress was given no power to abridge the ancient right of individuals to keep and bear arms, such a force could never oppress the people."

"Virtually all interpreters of the Second Amendment in the century after its enactment interpreted the amendment as we do."

The right to keep and bear arms is a "specific enumerated right" on a par with "freedom of speech, the guarantee against double jeopardy, the right to counsel." I think of it this way: The right to keep and bear arms is a specific enumerated right on a par with free speech.

"The very enumeration of the right takes out of the hands of government—even the Third Branch of Government—the power to decide on a case-by-case basis whether the right is really worth insisting upon. A constitutional guarantee subject to future judges' assessments of its usefulness is no constitutional guarantee at all. Constitutional rights are enshrined with the scope they were understood to have when the people adopted them, whether or not future legislatures or (yes) even future judges think that scope too broad."

So just how far can the Bradys push? They're prepared to push all the way, and as their current proposals suggest, they will stop at nothing. But they didn't count on us.

This YouTube video was put together by a user who calls himself "eaglephin," and who is obviously a great fan of Ronald Reagan. Just read the description he wrote for this video, which he simply calls, "Yes, we can":

It takes more than a pretty video and a bunch of celebrities singing to make a great president. It takes a person who understands where the true greatness of America lies.

Long before anyone ever heard of Barack Obama, Ronald Reagan challenged Americans to hope, to dream, to believe...

In themselves.

He brought change. He told us "yes we can". Except he also told us we didn't need government to do it. He inspired us with his words and his actions. He showed us that our individual liberty and creativity is what makes our country great not any government program...

Reagan was an idealist AND an ideologue. His policies were based in his rock solid conservative ideology. That doesn't mean he never compromised. But compromise is something different than standing on the same side of an issue with those who are supposed to be your political adversaries.

I woke up this morning hoping it was all a dream. Could it be possible that Barack Hussein Obama will soon be in the White House? A cold chill went down my spine as I considered the possibility!

Then I looked out of the window and saw the blanket of snow that covered the ground last night. Was God sending me a message? My first thought was that Hell had frozen over... then I remembered that I was in Utah not Oregon. Was there a cipher in the snow?

I heard Oprah say that "...now we are all united". Uh, no we're not. Over 55,000,000 Americans voted against Socialism last night. I did not vote for McCain, I voted against Socialism!

The Democrats have finally sealed the deal... we now know for sure who they are! They have clearly shown the world that they are Socialists. They have rid themselves of the centrist Democrats like Lieberman and stand firmly in the Socialist camp. They have removed their masks and we now know their character!

I must give them credit for their success. At least they know who they are and they are not afraid to tell us.

This is something that my party was unable to do... we do not know who we are! We put forward the worst candidate in the history of the Republican party. We knew that. We were not voting for McCain, we were voting against Socialism. I was almost as afraid of McCain winning as I was of Obama. Why? Because McCain is not what our party is about! We would jst have become complacent again, basking in a hollow win, delaying our needed reform for another four years!

This morning's blanket of snow symbolized for me the opportunity to clean the slate as a party and rebuild our base reflecting the principles and ideals that our Founding Fathers gave to us 221 years ago.

We have no need to fear. We have no need to back down from the insults and mischaracterizations that are and ,will be flung our way by the other side of the aisle. It is time that we take a serious look at our party and unite to prepare for 2012. It is time that we look outside of the DC Beltway and prepare a candidate that reflects the heartbeat of America. Sarah Palin, like her or not, proved that this is possible.

It is time that we get involved and start the peaceful revolution that will bring our country back to the greatness that our Founding Fathers intended. A country that provides the possibility of the American Dream to all Americans through hard work, education, and ingenuity... not through more welfare and entitlements.

We must not lose faith in America. There are nearly 250 million legal Americans in this country... can we find a handful that are decent, honest, hard working, patriots that are capable of leading the greatest nation on earth? We have four years to find them and effect real change!

We must tap into the technological expertise of this country and develop a fool proof method of voting! I refuse to believe that an electronic method of voting is impossible. If we can develop a network of ATM's that let me, and only me, access my realtime (and always accurate) account from anywhere in the world, I refuse to believe that there is not a way that will allow me to vote once, and only once, from anywhere in the world!

I am confident that Obama's election could be the best thing that ever happened to our party... If it defibrillates our heart, if it causes us to wake up and take action, if we unite as a party and build our core values back to what we know they need to be... it will be a good thing.

We know that Socialism will fail... it always does. We also know that it will cause irreparable damage to our country if we allow it to. Do not listen to the hype that says it is now time for us to move to the center... it is not! It is time for us to stop the "political correctness" and fight harder, with every fiber of our being to defend the Constitution Of The United States! Get a copy and read it... often. Read it to your children and grandchildren until they understand it and grow to love it! It can be read in less than 30 minutes.

Thank God that the socialists did not gain a fillibuster proof majority in the Senate last night... however, we face the possibility of a Supreme Court that will be tilted towards the left for the rest of our lives. They have shown us in the past that the scales of justice are no longer balanced... that the men in black are willing to super-legislate from the bench. Though this is frightening, it is possible to overturn decisions made by them... Take time to learn how it is done!

Remember this, we would not have had Ronald Reagan without Jimmy Carter! Who will Barack Hussein Obama give us in 2012? Will we be ready? Is there an American that we can believe in that will rise up and heed the call to lead us from the hold of Socialism back to the ideals of our Founding Fathers?

Will we be strong enough to stand up against the insults, threats, rhetoric, and false promises of the New Socialist Party? Will you be srong enough to stand up for what you know is right? Or will you cower in fear... giving in to the opposition? Do you have what it takes to say "No, I do not agree with you and this is why".

The revolution will not be easy. The opposition will win many more subjects to their side through the entitlements that will come through the redistribution of the wealth of the great Americans that are the backbone of our country. There will always be those that vote for the one that is willing to give them something for nothing. That will probably never change.

Their vote is not based on knowledge. Their vote is not based upon love of our country and the republican form of government that was set in motion 221 years ago. Their vote is based upon ignorance and personal greed... they are perfectly OK with believing that I am evil or immoral in some way because I have earned more than they have through hard work... therefore the government is justified in taking it from me and giving it to them.

We are going to be hit hard... sucker punched... and we will be knocked down! But, we must not allow them to knock us out! We must be strong for the next four years. We must unite and prepare for the greatest comeback this country has ever witnessed in 2012.

I am looking out the window at the American Flag that is billowing in the wind across the street, a beautiful sight, and I will defend her at all cost... the snow has melted and the sun has busted through the clouds reminding me that we are a "Nation under God" and he is still in control and willing to guide us if we ask.

Do you really want him to increase taxes on anyone earning $42,000 or more (yes, $42,000... the dirty little secret the LSM does not want you to know) and redistribute it to others, many of whom never even work (That is called welfare in my world view).

Obama is ready to destroy our system of free capitalism (the machine behind the American Dream) and take us down the path of Socialism... a system that has failed miserably in every society that has tried it... and it will fail here if it is implemented. His disciples will cry racism, and many other irrational slogans to decry my words but I do not care... I love my country and I respect the Founding Fathers; believing that they were inspired by the Creator to do what they did on our behalf. A former top deputy to Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan tells Newsmax that Barack Obama’s ties to the black nationalist movement in Chicago run deep, and that for many years the two men have had “an open line between them” to discuss policy and strategy, either directly or through intermediaries.

“Remember that for years, if you were a politician in Chicago, you had to have some type of relationship with Louis Farrakhan. You had to. If you didn’t, you would be ostracized out of black Chicago,” said Dr. Vibert White Jr., who spent most of his adult life as a member and ultimately top officer of the Nation of Islam.

White broke with the group in 1995 and is now a professor of African-American history at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

White said Obama was “part of the Chicago scene” where Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. and radicals would go to each other’s events and support each other’s causes.

“Even though Chicago is the third-largest city in the country, within the black community, the political and militant nationalist community is very small. So it wouldn’t be uncommon for [Obama and Farrakhan] to show up at events together, or at least be there and communicate with each other,” White told Newsmax.

The Anti-Defamation League has denounced Farrakhan and his Nation of Islam as a “hate group.”

Farrakhan has called Jews “bloodsuckers,” “satanic” and accused them of running the slave trade. He has labeled gays as “degenerates.” In a 2006 speech, the ADL again condemned Farrakhan when he said: “These false Jews promote the filth of Hollywood that is seeding the American people and the people of the world and bringing you down in moral strength. … It's the wicked Jews the false Jews that are promoting lesbianism, homosexuality. It's wicked Jews, false Jews that make it a crime for you to preach the word of God, then they call you homophobic!"

Obama was careful to “denounce” Farrakhan’s comments – but not the man -- during the Democratic primary season earlier this year, but only after Hillary Clinton called him out for benefiting from Farrakhan’s support.

Farrakhan endorsed Obama in a videotaped speech to his followers at Mosque Miryam in Chicago in February. “You are the instruments that God is gonna use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth,” Farrakhan said.

Once the news media and the Clinton campaign got hold of those comments from Farrakhan, demands mounted from all sides that Obama “renounce” Farrakhan.

But as he has done repeatedly throughout this campaign, Obama was careful to parse his words.

“You know, I have been very clear in my denunciation of Minister Farrakhan's anti-Semitic comments,” he said during one appearance on “Meet the Press.” “I think that they are unacceptable and reprehensible.”

Obama hastened to point out that Farrakhan had been praising him as “an African-American who seems to be bringing the country together. I obviously can't censor him, but it is not support that I sought. And we’re not doing anything, I assure you, formally or informally with Minister Farrakhan.”

But Obama, once again, was less than candid.

In 1995, according to a profile of Obama that appeared in the Chicago Reader newspaper, Obama “took time off from attending campaign coffees to attend October’s Million Man March in Washington, D.C.”

At the time, Obama was running for the Illinois Senate from Chicago’s South Side, a seat he won after getting surrogates to challenge the signatures on nominating petitions for his chief rival, the incumbent Alice Palmer.

The march, which fell far short of attracting the million men it advertised, was organized by Farrakhan and by Obama’s then-pastor, the anti-white black nationalist Wright.

Obama spoke at length with the Chicago Reader upon his return from the Million Man March. “What I saw was a powerful demonstration of an impulse and need for African-American men to come together to recognize each other and affirm our rightful place in the society," he said.

“These are mean, cruel times, exemplified by a ‘lock ’em up, take no prisoners’ mentality that dominates the Republican-led Congress,” Obama said.

“Historically, African-Americans have turned inward and towards black nationalism whenever they have a sense, as we do now, that the mainstream has rebuffed us, and that white Americans couldn't care less about the profound problems African-Americans are facing."

“Black nationalism” is a current of thought and political action in the African-American community that has been championed by the likes of Farrakhan, Wright, Malcolm X, the Black Panthers and Khalid al-Mansour. Obama discussed his attraction to black nationalism at length in his 1995 memoir “Dreams of My Father.”

Obama further parsed his words in a Feb. 25, 2008, presentation to a Jewish community meeting in Cleveland, Ohio, where he insisted that Wright “does not have a close relationship with Louis Farrakhan.”

And yet, just months earlier, Wright’s Trumpet magazine gave Farrakhan its Lifetime Achievement Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Trumpeter Award, saying that Farrakhan “truly epitomized greatness.”

That award was the fruit of a long and deep relationship between the two men, White told Newsmax. In 1984, Wright accompanied Farrakhan on his much-criticized trip to meet Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi, at a time when Gadhafi was considered an enemy of the United States.

Wright also accompanied Farrakhan and Jackson to Syria in 1986, where they successfully negotiated with Syrian strongman for the release of downed American pilot Robert O. Goodman.

Obama’s Speaking Style

In addition to the ideological affinity Obama expressed for the black nationalist movement, White believes that Obama owes much of his success as a public orator to speaking techniques that Farrakhan developed over the years, and exploited for years to great success.

“If you listen to the rhetoric and you take away Obama’s political jargon, you hear a religious tenor to it that is very much Nation of Islam-like. I don’t know if anyone has ever touched on it, but Obama’s speaking style is very Malcolm-like, very Farrakhan-like,” White said.

Any American who has listened to early radio or television interviews of Obama can hear how dramatically Obama’s speaking style has changed since he became a United States senator.

In clips dating from 2001 and even early 2004, Obama speaks haltingly and in long, rambling sentences packed with legalese and dense pseudo-academic rhetoric. But not today.

“As a former minister of the Nation of Islam, I know how they speak,” White told Newsmax. “I don’t know who was training Obama. But that style is not a ministerial style like in the Christian church. It’s a Nation of Islam style.”

White began in the late 1970s as a foot soldier in the Fruit of Islam, the military branch of Farrakhan’s Black Muslim group, then rose to become a minister of the Nation of Islam and a top deputy to Farrakhan himself.

Known initially as Brother Vibert L.X., and later as Minister V.L. Muhammad, he parted ways with Farrakhan not long after the Million Man March, after nearly 25 years within the organization.

White’s 2002 book “Inside the Nation of Islam” prompted death threats by Farrakhan loyalists, so he left Illinois and moved to Florida to teach at the University of Central Florida.

He told Newsmax that Obama’s remarkable speaking style, even his manner of standing at a podium to appear larger than life, is directly copied from Farrakhan.

“If the Nation of Islam can’t do anything else, it can train people how to speak. And nobody can outspeak a Muslim minister,” he said.

Earlier this year, a pro-Clinton blog run by former CIA officer Larry Johnson unearthed a 2004 photograph showing Michelle Obama and Farrakahn’s wife, Mother Khadijah Farrakhan, at an event hosted by Jackson’s Citizenship Education Foundation.

Newsmax queried Obama’s U.S. Senate office, his Chicago office and his campaign press office about his ties to Farrakhan, but did not receive a reply.

Ever since he appeared before the annual policy conference of the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee in June, Obama has attempted to convince the Jewish community that he is pro-Israel.

But his longstanding ties to Farrakhan, Wright and Palestinian activist Rashid Khalidi, among others, have disturbed many Jewish community leaders.

Sen. John McCain publicly chastised The Los Angeles Times on Thursday for not releasing a videotape the newspaper said it possessed of a 2003 dinner for Khalidi, where Obama reportedly accused Israel of carrying out a “genocide” against the Palestinians.

Family and Friends-

I have spent hundreds of hours researching Barack Hussein Obama and I am terrified of him and his proposed policies for “We The People”. You all know that I have a love for this country that is second to none. I believe in our Constitution and what it stands for. I also believe that it was designed to govern a moral nation and will have no effect on an amoral people. I believe that our nation has fallen to an all time low because good people, for whatever reason, have been afraid to stand up and speak out against the corruption that has taken over the greatest nation in the history of the world.

I have decided to speak up. There is less than 20 days until the election (many are voting now through absentee ballots and mail-in ballots) and I must do my part to shine the light on the disaster that is coming our way in the name of Barack Hussein Obama.

I am just one guy out of nearly 300 million people in this country. I am “Joe Retired White Guy” trying to live the American Dream. I am trying to feel good about the future of my five grandchildren. But I have to confess that I am terrified of the possible outcome of the election. I am terrified that we may only have 19 more days to live our lives as citizens of a free nation, rather than subjects of a socialist regime.

I have spent a great deal of time reading the available information on both candidates for the President of The United States of America. This includes Barack Hussein Obama’s own words as written in his two autobiographies. I have to tell you that neither of these books are easy to follow… they are twisted, convoluted, stories of a very confused man… trying to figure out who he is and what he stands for.

I am no rocket scientist, but it is clear to me that Barack Hussein Obama has a long history of associations and advisors that cause me to question his loyalty to the Constitution and the Judeo-Christian principles that this country was founded upon. Don’t get me wrong, I cannot read a man’s heart… Obama says he is a Christian and I cannot say that he is not. There are many that believe he is Muslim… I have not found any evidence that he practices that faith. However, there is plenty of evidence that his life and search for personal identity has been greatly influenced by radical Muslims such as Louis Farrakan and Malcolm X.

As one who lived through the 60’s and saw first hand the radical ideals and actions of the Nation of Islam under the direction of Malcolm X and later Louis Farrakan, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to question the judgment of a candidate that admits to studying their teachings and then participating in the so-called Million Man March on our Nation’s Capital.

Even his professed brand of Christianity over the last 20 years has been a pro-black African, anti-white American theology. Again, it does not take a rocket scientist to find the evidence that exists for these facts… Things that he now conveniently denounces. Barack Hussein Obama says that he sat in the congregation of Reverend Wrights church for 20 years and never heard the vile things that he spoke about our great nation and the white people like me that call it home… I am sorry folks… I have to honk the “BS horn” on this one.

Barack Hussein Obama admits in his biography that he “found himself” while in high school in Hawaii and later in college, as a result of reading and studying the teachings of Saul Alinsky, Marshal Davis, and Malcolm X. In fact, I discovered in my research that the campaign slogan “Change” is a code word for “Socialism” that came straight out of the teachings of Alinsky. I was shocked at the sick and perverted teachings of Marshal Davis… an openly bisexual child molester whose exploits are freely and proudly revealed in his poetry and books that Barack admits to reading and studying during his period of self-discovery. If you want to be shocked, Google Marshal Davis…but you have been warned that you will be shocked and sickened by the things you will read.

Two nights ago, he clearly stated that he would only raise the taxes on small businesses that gross more than $250,000 so that he can “share the wealth” with those that are less fortunate in this country. Do you hear the freight train coming? The last time I checked, taxes were supposed to be used to fund the needs of government… He clearly stated that he wants to use them to redistribute wealth… “Change”! I did some research today and found that this policy will impact over 60% of the small businesses in this country… the backbone of our country and our economy! A closer look at his tax plan also makes it clear that though he will only raise taxes on small businesses that gross over $250,000, the threshold for those of us that are not small businesses is $47,000… but you have not heard him mention that little point in his campaign speeches!

Barack Hussein Obama says he is going to cut taxes for 95% of all Americans… HONK! It is a fact that 38% of the so-called 95% already do not pay any taxes because they are on welfare or are illegal aliens or do not make enough money to fit into the taxable income brackets. So in reality, they will actually receive increased income without having to lift a finger! Barack has made it clear that those of us that have worked hard for our chance at the American Dream are somehow immoral because we have made more money than others (some who have never worked a day in their lives because of the government dole), and we need to share our “wealth”. HONK!

And is it just me or does it seem a little strange that Barack is living in a home that he paid over $1,000,000 for and admits to being a millionaire on the salary of a community organizer and then a State and Federal Senator? Look it up folks, they don’t make that much money! How did he do it?

The house is an easy answer… research his connection with Tony Rezko and the crooked deals that were made to obtain his home in Illinois… it is public knowledge and easily found. And this man that is now indicted on multiple felony charges and on his way to federal prison was the man behind Barack Hussein Obama’s campaign finances! Can you say question of judgment?

Speaking of the question of judgment, how can we allow a man that does not see the connection to William Ayers as wrong-headed at the least and in my opinion, outright dangerous and reckless, to be our next President. I have borrowed the following facts from the National Republican Trust PAC ( http://www.nationalrepublicantrust.com/ayersfactsheet.html ), all of which I have personally researched and believe to be 100% accurate:

Background: William Ayers was a member of the Weather Underground, a radical leftist group that from 1969 to the mid-'70s conducted several bombings of government institutions. Ayers served on the group's Central Committee. The Weather Underground bombed the U.S. Capitol, the Pentagon, military installations, and police stations. In all, seven people were killed. In 1981, two police officers and one security guard were killed by members of the Weather Underground in the robbery of a Brinks truck in New York state. After Ayers married Bernardine Dohrn, also a member of the Weather Underground (who was described by FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover as "the most dangerous woman in America"), they settled in Chicago.

Fact: Bernardine Dohrn had this to say in response to the Charles Manson murders, which she romanticized as a revolutionary coup at a Flint, Mich., Weatherman War Council in December 1969: "Dig it! First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them. They even shoved a fork into the victim's stomach! Wild!" Dohrn later stated this was meant as a "joke."
Fact: In 1969, Bernardine Dohrn and other members of the Weather Underground traveled to Cuba and met with representatives of the North Vietnam and Cuban governments.

Fact: In 1970, Ayers explained what the Weather Underground was all about: "Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home; kill your parents; that's where it's really at."
Fact: Both Ayers and Dohrn lived on the run from authorities from approximately 1970 to 1980. The case against Ayers and Dohrn was dropped due to illegal wiretaps and prosecutor misconduct. The FBI was conducting "black bag jobs," or illegal break-ins, in their pursuit of the Weather Underground. Some of these black bag jobs were authorized by Mark Felt, later to be known as "Deep Throat" of Watergate fame.

Fact: Shortly after turning themselves in, Dohrn and Ayers became legal guardians of the son of former members of the Weather Underground, Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert, after they were convicted of murder for their roles in a 1981 armored car robbery. Two police officers and one Brinks guard were killed in the robbery.
Fact: Starting in the mid-'90s, Ayers and Obama served on the board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge Project. They served together on the board for approximately seven years. Ayers and Obama were tasked with the oversight of a $100 million budget. The board, under Obama's chairmanship the Annenberg project gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to Bill Ayers' projects promoting alternative schools.

Fact: From 1984 to 1988, Bernardine Dohrn was employed by the prestigious Chicago law firm Sidley Austin. She was hired by Howard Trienens, the head of the firm at that time and someone who knew Thomas G. Ayers, Bill's father. However, Dohrn's criminal record has prevented her from being admitted to either the New York or Illinois bar. "Dohrn didn't get a [law] license because she's stubborn . . . She wouldn't say she's sorry."

Fact: In 1995, Ayers and Dorn opened their Chicago Hyde Park home to host a political coming-out party for Barack Obama, when he ran for the state Senate. Fact: From 1999-2002, Ayers and Obama served together on a second charitable foundation, The Woods Fund. While at the Woods Fund, they gave money to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's church, which Obama attended, and a children and family center, where Dohrn worked.

Fact: Question to Obama in 2000, during his run for the U.S. Congress: "What is your argument, based on the one term that you served in the [Illinois] Senate so far, that makes you prepared for the Congress?"
Answer: "I would argue . . . my experience previous to elected office equips me for the job . . . I've chaired major philanthropic efforts in the city, like the Chicago Annenberg Challenge that gave $50 million to prompt school reform efforts throughout the city."

Fact: In 2008, Ayers again denies he was ever a terrorist, writing on his blog: "The September 11 attacks were acts of terrorism, and the U.S. bombings in Viet Nam for a decade were acts of terrorism. Terrorism is never justifiable, even in a just cause . . . I've never advocated terrorism, never participated in it, never defended it. The U.S. government, by contrast, does it routinely and defends the use of it in its own cause consistently."

Fact: David Axelrod, Obama's chief strategist, attempted to downplay the Obama/Ayers relationship: "Bill Ayers lives in his neighborhood. Their kids attend the same school . . . They're certainly friendly; they know each other, as anyone whose kids go to school together."

Fact: Obama's children never attended school with the Ayers children. Obama's children are ages 9 and 6. Ayers and Dohrn have two adult children, and they adopted a son from their fellow Weather Underground terrorist Kathy Boudin. That son was born in 1981.

Fact: Chicago's Hyde Park residents speak of Obama and Ayers' relationship. "Neighbors said it's only natural that Obama would know Ayers and Dohrn, who often open their homes for gatherings filled with lively discussions about politics, arts, and social issues. Obama and his wife 'are part of our neighborhood and part of our social circle,' said Elizabeth Chandler, a neighbor of Ayers'."

My friends, again this is a question of judgment… It is this simple in my mind… If I was asked to sit on a committee or the board of a “charitable foundation” and I discovered that one of the other members was the unrepentant terrorist William Ayers, I would not participate! I would not sit in the same room, no matter the cause, with a woman that glorified the sick and twisted actions of Charles Manson! Yet, Barack seems to have had no problem with the relationship… because their terrorism occurred when he was only eight years old. Barack’s actions and associations are not fiction… they are public record… spoken by his own mouth! Consider this; these associations would prevent Obama from passing the background check and Top Secret Access Clearance that he would need to be employed by the Secret Service or the FBI… Yet he will soon be their leader and they will be forced to protect him… And he will gain automatic security clearance as the President!

As bad as all of these things are in my mind, the things that scare me even more are the possibilities of the Senate becoming filibuster proof and Hillary Clinton receiving a Black Robe in the Supreme Court… a promise made by Obama that I have heard articulated by both Nancy Pelosi and Bill Clinton within the last month… Can you hear the freight train?! Do you value the Bill of Rights? One of the first things they will do is silence conservative talk radio through the so-called “Fairness Doctrine”. Followed closely by the elimination of the Second Amendment… the one that protects all the rest!

If Barack is elected and the things mentioned above occur, we will no longer be citizens of a Republic, but subjects of a Parliament. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid will be the most powerful people in the world… they will dictate what is “best” for us and Barack will sign it into law… with no way to institute the checks and balances that are the foundation of our Constitutional government. And I am afraid, based upon what we have witnessed before in cases such as Roe v. Wade, our Supreme Court will legislate from the bench rather than interpret the constitutionality of the laws that congress passes, which is their only charge under our Constitution… setting the stage for a Parliament at best, a Dynasty at worst. Recently, Supreme Court Justices Alito and Roberts both said that if Obama is elected, we can kiss our Constitution goodbye for the rest of our lives!

Finally, over 60% of the countries in the world are being infiltrated by Muslims practicing a form of radical Islam known as Jihad (which means CHANGE… Are you seeing a pattern here?). It is estimated that 10-15% of the 1.2 billion Muslims in the world agree with Jihad. That means that 100-150,000 are right here in America. Yet Obama does not believe we have a border security or illegal alien problem. He also states that he is willing to sit down with the leaders of terrorist nations and regimes and negotiate without any pre-conditions? Is this the man that we want to carry the “Nuclear Football”. He can say what he wants about his allegiance to America, but I am still having a tough time getting my brain cells to wrap around a guy that will not allow anyone to use his full name BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA!

Maybe my fears are unjustified. Maybe his other examples of judgment are not indicative of the way he would lead this nation, but I am not willing to take that chance. I am not willing to let our nation be another failed experiment in Socialism, or Marxism, or Fascism, or Communism, or any other “ism” that is not found within the sacred words of our Constitution.

Do not be fooled by the smooth talk and charisma of Obama… I don’t know about you, but it makes me sick to my stomach to see the videos on YouTube of the young children singing songs and chanting praises to Obama… A charismatic leader in Germany used the same tactic once and look at the price the world paid! I have spent a great deal of time reading and studying the Rise and Fall of The Third Reich and I have to tell you a cold chill went up my spine when I heard Barack Hussein Obama’s acceptance speech in the Colorado stadium recently… All that was missing at the end of his speech, which had whipped his star-struck crowd into a fervor, was the “Heil Obama!” at the end.

Please take a stand in the next 19 days to speak up… make a difference… exercise your Constitutional right to express your concerns about the government and then vote for John McCain… a true American patriot who is a Federalist and has always put his country first and will continue to do so. (I do not think he is perfect by any means, but he has his head on straight in the areas that are most critical to the survival of this nation and our Constitution at this time!)

Finally, pray for our country – God will bless the righteous – God will bless this country if we do not turn our back on Him who gave it to us! The Constitution is hanging by a thread; we can save it if we take action now!
